Ooze Pit HM
having a tough time with this, i feel like when i try and pull, i just get swarmed with oozes from them splitting, then ESurge and Shockwave destroy my party. but i'm not here asking how to do it, i have looked around, but i had a question.
if i run Can't Touch This!, then will the volatile ooze's skill fail?

It says it is a touch skill, so yeah. But I think a good way to do it is to flag your heroes apart form one another so that they aren't in adjacent range of each other. Helps with the nukes of the dungeon.

You probably don't need a P/ in order to use it.

I usually run ctc on a smiter but was running mo/me for more interrupts.
I do flag healers and protters away from the group.

Since you mentioned it anyways ^^. Run an ST rit and shockwave/esurge doesn't hurt. Just remember to bring spirits and/or an MM so the earthbound oozes don't rush your heroes. If your comfortable, use a spike build to kill ooze groups before they get a chance to use ooze division. A Panic mesmer is an excellent way to prevent them from splitting as well. I wouldn't bother with CTT on volatile ooze since they don't pose a threat; I would run it because the ooze warriors use headbutt.

I'm not sure what prof u r running so advice may change....but anywho...in ooze pit all the foes start off in nicely balled groups. Keeping them in that nicely balled formation makes the dungeon a cakewalk.

tank and spand works fine there. Too bad you are rit as a war or sin you can tank them while you lure them to you party without getting your heroes in any danger.
There is a nice vid of this in the warrior part of the forum.

Try to kill the ooze before they split. If you take time to ball them, they will split and you will get a ton of them to deal with.

Ya, I did do it many times just for fun since it was a fast dungeon to complete. Most of the time, I swap around some one or two skills and/or one hero slot just for testing purposes.

I'll just have to practice. I'm not very good at dungeons. I try and flag my heroes, place spirits in front, then pull. once combat starts, my heroes all run up with the spirits and get nuked. I do have them set to attack so that they can land early interrupts. they get eaten by esurge and shockwave though.

One thing you might want to try is put them all on Defend (minus healers. unless they are using an offensive skill, I have them on AvoidCombat). That may help. Just make sure you call your target before engaging the group and you will get the initial jump.

ok, i had changed some heroes around for doing WiK stuff, and went back in, i completed it this time. all my heroes were on defend, and the biggest changes were using shared burden, and my MM was OoU with vamps and fiends, and command shouts.
prismatics still wiped me once, but wasn't bad other than that.
